Butterfly Pea Flower Cold Brew Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 tea bag or 1 tsp dried butterfly pea flowers
- 120 ml hot water
- 3-5 fresh mint leaves
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp honey (optional)
- 4-5 ice cubes (optional)
- 1/4 cup sparkling water or soda
Steps
- Brew the tea - Steep 1 tea bag or 1 tsp of butterfly pea flowers in 120 ml of hot water for 3–5 minutes.
- Chill - Let the tea cool, then refrigerate for 6–8 hours until cold.
- Muddle flavours - In a glass, add mint, lemon juice, and honey. Gently muddle to release the aroma.
- Add fizz - Toss in ice cubes and pour in the sparkling water or soda.
- Top with tea - Slowly add the chilled blue tea on top for a layered effect.
